“Recovery is not laziness. It is finding one´s balance.”

“I do not have time to rest.
Naps are for the weak.
I must finish what I started.
I’m fine. I don’t need to calm down.”

To neglect the foundation of your own being is, in all regards, foolish.

Yet today, it has become a badge of honor.

More is better.
Sleep is weakness.
Push through.

But what you may really need…
is a hug and a cup of hot cocoa.

“It will be fine.
You have survived this far.
You will manage.”

And so the cycle continues.

A constant sense of stress.
Always more to do.
Never enough time.

Things are done halfway.
And beneath it all, a quiet sense that you could have done better.

But no time to reflect.
More things need to get done.

This mindset is common.

We emulate the environments we live in. And most people today are overwhelmed. So it becomes difficult to say:

“No. I choose not to participate. I choose to rest.”

The body is a complex and living system. And all systems require maintenance.

Sleep.
Movement.
Stillness.
Nutrition.
Connection.

This is not optional. It is essential.

But if this has never been your standard…
then choosing rest feels like rebellion. But like a true revolutionary rise and make the claim:

“I need to calm down!”

So start small.

Take 10 minutes.

Be still.
Calm your breath.
Wiggle your toes.
Look around.

If the mind resists, say your faulty determination:

“I am calm. I am here.”

Because this is not laziness. It is the foundation your life is built upon.
